Aeroclub Limburgse Vleugels

The "Limburgse Vleugels" aeroclub celebrated it's 50th aniversary in 2007 and since carries the titel Royal aeroclub Limburgse Vleugels. If you want to become a pilot of glider planes, motorised planes or model planes this is where you can make it happen.

The main goal of the aero club Limburgse Vleugels is to promote aviation in all it's forms. From Model Flying to gliding, parachutism and motorised flying. 

The chairman of the aero club is Mr. M. Notelaers.

This website is oriented towards the section of the motorised planes, the glider section and the model section have their own website which you can access via the links on the right hand side.

We have a fleet of 6 aircraft, including one glass cockpit C172SP with state of the art modern cockpit and one fast complex aircraft Mooney 205. Thesy are both IFR and autopilot equipped and can be used for IFR training as part of a modular training.

For private pilot training whe use 2 Cessna 152 trainers or for those who prefer bigger aeroplanes whe have 2 Cessna 172's available

The airfield of Genk/Zwartberg was founded in 1957.  Visit this website to see the history of the airfield

Clubhouse and restaurant

The Clubhouse offers a bar and restaurant run by Josy and An. Open every day except Tuesday during winter time. The restaurant is closed on tuesday the whole year round. firefox
